really into the ml and mc are really close and (especially) ml only cares about the mc, but mc dies tragically and then gets reincarnated into a different body where he sees the after affects of his death on the ml. but the ml doesn't recognize him at first and is plagued with both the grief of losing mc but the pain of seeing him everywhere, even in this rando (aka new mc) and a dramatic reveal shows that it WAS indeed the mc and everyone lives happily ever after ... trope
