Also, if they were to change his gender during the story, you moses likely wouldn't be seeing him as a Male on the cover, there would also be something like "gender-bender" in the tags. And also, in my opinion, it would be a bit ballzy for them to include a trans because they could get backlash from it, from either how it's portrayed or could get denied by their publisher because it's a sore topic.
