idk abt u guys but the first season was way better the mystery with the twins was more complex unlike this new one that shows mc is nothing but a boring ass mary sue. what a wasted story
also some underlying key points:
* the kid probably died almost immediately after the fall, so anna was the first one to encounter her corpse the moment she died. somewhere around that time, claire found out but was unable to do anything.
* the king and queen didnt know about the kid's death (let alone her existence) nor did they seem like they knew the corpse was allegedly buried in secret, so anna mustve pulled some ropes.
* i dont doubt all this mess will be addressed in the next chapter. and we should also expect claire to have some kind of affiliation with the wizard and will probably die soon.
