byul is a teen, hes a child. hyesung has kept secrets from him, one is the story of his pregnancy, the other is his mom. byul found out about hyesung abandoning him when he was like, what, 6 yo? it clearly stuck to him since he remembers it despite his age that time. so finding out about his grandma was probably some sort of coping mechanism for what hyesung did to him. it doesn't matter if he claims he never hated his mom for it, subconsciously it probably still affected him.
"my mom tried to abandon me, but he probably had his reasons. i don't blame him for it. so why can't he see and do the same for grandma, who probably had her own reasons as well?"
the real person in question is dojin. the way hyesung and his mom's relationship were depicted in the original story was a huge cut-off. no closure, no healthy acceptance. she just leaves after hyesung's refusal to talk. and hyesung somehow recovers after moping for a bit. honestly, he isn't angry enough in chap 25 lmao. but thats probably why he faints; its overwhelming and i can see it really affecting his health. trauma isn't a joke, dojin. its sad cause hyesung and dojin's relationship has improved so much through the years, and this is might be another huge obstacle. imagine hyesung going back to that personality where he verbally and emotionally pushes dojin away?
