To think this is the most thoughtful, selfless action Jaekyung has done for Kim Dan in 80 chapters… 80 chapters! Holy shit. I don’t think this guy can redeem himself. He’s just acted so grossly and terribly and Kim Dan hasn’t even truly confronted Jaekyung for how he treated him. Perhaps, that’s why I feel so unfulfilled with this redemption arc. I suppose it’s a “slow burn”, so we’ll see if this redemption arc gets any better.
Buddy, YOU are the problem. YOU are the source of his stress. Why bring him back? Where’s the so-called treatment he’s supposed to go through? What’s the difference?! Kim Dan deserves the world AND to be able to punch Jaekyung in the face (just once, please, pretty please).
I don’t know why I thought this was finished… I always get got. But, man, oh man. This is absolute perfection. The banter + dialogue between the main characters is crazy amazing. They both have such strong, district personalities. They feel so real. Like, genuinely real. The artwork is gorgeous. I love that Yunshin is the primary drive of their relationship. Like, damn, he fought for that man! And he deserves that man! I love that he wants sex just as bad as Mr. Kang. I love their flirty-ness. I appreciate the amount of research that surely goes into the law aspect of this story, even though I don’t understand it half the time. What a rare gem. I’m hoping for another update soon!
Hoping Kim Dan stays; otherwise, we’re just rinsing and repeating the pattern that got them here—the debt. But, if he goes with Jaekyung, Kim Dan will be free of that stupid fucking debt!!! Rooting for Kim Dan, my baby.
Man, that idiot had to be told by someone else to realize his feelings for Kim Dan.
Jaekyung didn’t break the cycle of violence. Unfortunate and realistic. If Dan and Jaekyung end up together (which they will, because we know how these plots go), it’ll be interesting to see more signs of symptoms of abuse in Dan. His alcoholism, self-destruction, and suicidal tendencies are so sad. How will Jaekyung handle it? He couldn’t bother to deal with Dan’s alcoholism. I’d like to see Jaekyung in a caregiver role, because he’s definitely traumatized and abused Dan to the extent of Dan needing this type of care.
Poor kiddo :( But toward adult Jaekyung, I have to say: I’m supposed to feel sorry for that bitch? I don’t!
He’s such a red flag And he knows and admits it. It’s refreshing! Love seeing him go wild for In-Seob. The letter parallel is amazing. He never opened or even knew about the letters In-Seob helped write in the past, but this singular letter now, he’s jerking off to. Damn, if that isn’t sweet karma for him.
I’m telling you right now: that motherfucker is crazy! Love me a toxic seme, for real. That man is too hot. Too handsome. He knows it, too... In-seob, baby, I understand why you forgave him (even though he needed to grovel WAY more).
I… thought this was complete. I don’t why I thought that. GAHHH. Anyway, my only complaint is the over-abundance of sex scenes. My god. It was like every other chapter. The plot is good! A lot more interesting with the spiritual aspect. Also, I love me a little toxic seme that will eventually grovel. Just wish the author/artist would expand the plot instead of bandaging their problems with sex.
I came back for a re-read. The main couple (second couple, LOL, Jungsoo and Yoonseol) have the best strangers to lovers arc. You think Yoonseol will be toxic, but no, that man is head over heels for Jungsoo from the beginning and only wants to care for him! They communicate so clearly. It’s amazing. I loved that they were still learning each other as individuals in an established relationship, too. They’re seriously perfect. Yoonseol’s hair transformation is so cool, too! I liked both haircuts. I liked Jungsoo’s character design. He’s one of few ukes that isn’t overly feminized. The art style is so beautiful. I loved the exploration of different color palettes. Such a unique story with a unique art style. Hoping the artist/author come back with another story!
This story is straight up whump about Kim Dan. He can’t catch a break. Why does Jaekyung keep getting uglier, too?
Kwonlim sucking off Haekyeong was the hottest thing I’ve seen. That man is nasty and he so in love with Haekyeong. We love to see it!
some authors don’t deserve their characters. oh kim dan, let me protect you. you deserve so much better.
All my topics are being auto-deleted… I tested this on 3 different mangas. The first manga, I posted an actual topic. I thought I was writing trigger words to get my topic to auto-delete, but now I know that isn’t the case. I tested 2 other mangas with the word “test” and it still deleted! Anyone know why this is happening?
Without spoiling Jinx, can someone tell me approximately where the story is in terms of reaching the end? I want to read it when it’s finished (I think I stopped at chapter 47), but damn, it’s HARD.
Don’t know if this has already been brought up and I doubt this will get resolved, but I really wish this site would sort uploads by who uploaded (so we could choose which uploader to read from or which “scans” to read). Anything would help at this point, something like filters, categories, or sorting. It’s so hard to scroll through what is essentially the same chapters twice or even thrice.
Mahwas that are first novels and/or have an author + artist ALWAYS have top-tier dialogue! The pacing is always on point and the ending is never rushed. The lack of sex scenes prevented the author/artist from using them as fillers or conflict-solvers. I loved it because it made me YEARN. Like, I’ll take a kiss on the neck, pretty please.
I loved the dual POV of events. It made everything much more interesting and prevented the manhwa from hitting a lull. Heejae nearly had me for a second—like, he could not have showered Seyeong with so much attention without liking him and I was right, that man not only fell for Seyeong once, but twice. Seyeong is simply that girl XD. The art is glorious. I commend the artist for how many characters they drew (drawing 2 main pairings + tons of extras must have been TOUGH). Heejae and Seyeong are both beautiful, but Seyeong is another level of pretty. No wonder Heejae is so possessive. And you know what, so is Seyeong. That man sunk his claws into Heejae way before admitting his feelings. I loved their relationship. I loved how much they bickered. That enemies to lovers progression hit the spot. They’re both so caring of each other underneath their clashing personalities that actually pair so well. I mean, they’re both gamers with attachment issues, are equally possessive and jealous, and insanely competitive. They’re just meant to be!
My only complaint is that I wish Heejae’s original motive to “date” Seyeong would have been revealed. I think the angst would have been glorious. I suppose because Heejae really fell for Seyeong, it was swept under the rug. I thought for a second Woohyeon would reveal it, but I was mistaken.
I really hope we get more of these two! I already miss them. I would love side stories. That fade to black sex scene could easily become an explicit side story o.o.
