I wonder if he’s happy and I wonder what a happy end for him would look like. Like I don’t know about everybody else, but I don’t think him going back with his family would necessarily be a happy ending for either party as they have now lived apart for four years and like he said when he was talking to the other doctor, he is now fundamentally a different person. I don’t know if that would be good for the daughter and his former wife but I also don’t know if that would be good for him as every waking moment he would have to atone for his actions and he wouldn’t be in the same position as he was last time as he would not be the breadwinner as I’m guessing he cannot go back to Doctor work.

I don’t think the series is going to end saying well the best thing he can do is kill himself, but I don’t necessarily think he’s going to have a happy ending like all the other characters as I don’t think there’s any way to realistically resolve his issues other than him being alone and content for the rest of his life, which I don’t think is a happy ending as they are very clear the impact of community in this story

I need more of maki who is very very clearly not over anything. I like the fact the only time he could’ve had his friends time was that cool and now he doesn’t even have that like he’s so pitiful anc genuinely so sad. I do think it’s interesting that he is very clearly gay in both uses of the word as he likes the same gender and sub gender so he’s like gay squared and I don’t know if the author is going to go in depth in that and maybe a Maki side story or something but despite it the alpha‘s father wanting him to marry Alpha, he very clearly wants him to marry a woman alpha so that means some type of heteronormativity or something is present where are as an alpha you either marry a woman alpha or any gender Omega. Long story short I’m not really interested in Alpha x alpha normally however he is just so deliciously sad and so very clearly desperate to the point where I need to see his resolution.
