I can see that not many people here have lived in abusive households. A man should not be your plan sis. We know the ml is atleast not going to be abusive cause he is the ml. How is she supposed to know that?
When it comes to situations like this I'm on her side. Slowly removing herself from the toxic environment as long as her life is not on the line and getting out of the house by herself is the best possible outcome. Ofcourse she should get all the help she could afford.
And you are saying that she should just treat the kid nicely and everything would be fine? Aren't you just using the poor thing for your own gain?
The affection towards the child should be unconditional. That's where this is going.
And btw I really like the ml. No matter how much he disliked her the moment he saw signs of abuse he refused to ignore the signs or look away.
I also agree that he was very pushy and refused to respect her boundaries but in this particular situation I am that kind of a person too.
