I don’t hate the mc, he’s pretty reasonable even if he’s a brat. It’s just the attitude that’s his problem and it’s clear that that will change in the ongoing series. It’s fine if he doesn’t like rice and beans. In response he should either offer to prepare food or politely ask for an alternative. It’s fine that he cares about skin care, instead of blurting out what he needs he should have explained why he uses each item. It’s fine that he takes care of his clothes the way they are supposed to be cared for. Destroying well made things unnecessarily is what would make him irresponsible. Anyways, he’s not a bad person which is why I think this story will work for those who like these kinds of premises
