I've been wondering that too - I mean, we do have that boulder atop the mountain, which is a nice allusion. But even the hounds part - that almost feels more like cerberus or something, so idk.

sisyphus is a mythical character who was cursed in afterworld to push a stone uphill, but whenever he almost reaches the top, the stone rolls back down. Also I’m writing this from my head so there may be some mistakes. But the general idea is there. Thats why work that seems pointless or repeptitive is called sisyphean work.

Oohhhh….so like for example, protecting a town continuously only for it to be invaded over and over again? Something like that?

yes something like that. hounds are dogs and maybe in the title they are supposed to be an extension of sisyphus, also doing pointless work but maybe since they are dogs, they are more agressive about it or they have it even worse? i can only polemize about what it could mean. ╮(￣▽￣)╭. Ooohhhhhhhhh so maybe everyone are the hounds and sisyphus is the one who created the virus or something (idk i just thought they could be like in a groundhod day situtation where the sisyphus one is the only one who tries to stop the virus from spreading but it keeps on failing….or maybe not and it’s still really early in the chapters to make a conclusion (￣∇￣")
