This started out pretty average but I find myself coming back to it again and again. They might be a stupid couple with the most immature fights, but then I came to realize that at the end of the day, as a couple they do communicate about their feelings, listen to the other, and apologize without issues (which is already better than 80% of the manga here).
I'm low key concerned about Geum Spoon's undiagnosed anxiety and the fact that his world literally revolves around Butt Jung, but I have faith in this hilarious couple. I'm not surprised they're going on ten years.
You can't help it
Wow. Obviously there's a lot of blackmail, rape, coercion, stockholm syndrome, and questionable affection wrapped up in this red flag of an MC, but somehow he's actually (as he himself states) learning to be a human being.
This story focuses heavily on love and confinement, but so far has only glanced over how deeply traumatic it is to be raised as an awakened (wow is he traumatized), and how utterly insane this government is. That the nonawakened people are living normal lives with regular ideals and norms, juxtaposed to this brainwashed authoritarian branch of the government seems very, very wrong.
I'm waiting for this story to transition from the black rom com that it is into an apocalyptic anti-government action adventure it needs to be. Because otherwise I can't imagine them having any kind of happily ever after that I'm desperately wishing for.
Kind of doubt itll take that turn but im hpoing too
