I can't completely hate them or love them. I feel like they deserve a chance for a good second life. Empress surrounded with men who were handed everything since she was born hence she turned out this way cause we cannot disagree that she's beautiful and cunning. Whereas Astana having an absent father and manipulative mother made him unable to express his feelings in a rightful way and grew up to be this way. Also I heard that Empress loves Astana like a mother who would die for her children. Ngl I want another side story where Astana and Empress were able to live a happy life without any hurdles and the emperor too without the difficulties caused by them
