I'm pansexual and I love reading BL, but I agree that it doesn't represent the community at all. I hope it was used to teach people more about the LGBTQIA+ community. I've seen a lot of BL where the character would be outed and the other extra characters would be like "wow, it's my first time seeing one in real life!". (yes those are the exact word......
