Females who take parental roles are mom.
Males who take parental roles are dad.
It doesn't make sense to only call the ones, who gave birth, mom, since then, there wouldn't be a stepmom or adoptive mom, there would be just stepdad and adoptive dad. Or am I missing something?
It just always get on my nerves, when men are called wife & mom... It's a queer relationship, don't force straight couple gender roles onto them!
