Don’t get me wrong, I’m starting to like Amy more as the story goes on. She’s a powerful mage, works hard, and isn’t a douche to every single person around her. As I read about her, she gets cuter and more endearing every scene she’s in. I love the group dynamic the four of them have as well.
However, I just did not like the dynamic where Shirone was repeatedly wronged by her without any apologies given. She did something in childhood that could have been traumatic for Shirone but it can be excused for her youth. When she sees him again, her first idea is to torment and humiliate him for HER mistake. When she acknowledges her wrongs personally, she never takes the initiative to apologize for those actions. This is why I don’t like the romantic relationship between the two, since I see this dynamic playing into the relationship.
I dont ship Shirone with anyone else, I just want him to be treated with care and thoughtfulness in any relationship he gets into. I know its fiction and its not that serious, but it’s simply what I dislike in the current development. I also want to validate some people dislikes that can be something other than “misogyny” and can be rooted in logic.
Honestly I would be fine with this development if I could hope that maybe Hana wouldn’t get together with the ML, or if there was a timeskip to after they both grow as people. But with the spoilers of how they’ll be getting together I’m really disappointed. I honestly think they’re just not a good fit for each other
I started this since the FL seemed like she was not into him and was not taking his shit but turned out to be all words and no action. He keeps forcing her and tells her that he’s “smothering her with love and care” and she keeps letting him do whatever. Like I am not convinced that she went from no interest to liking him and I really want to curb stomp the hell out of the ML every time he opens his godforsaken mouth.
The beginning of the father-daughter relationship was already off when she used her powers to change him and it doesn't get better. I feel like the dad can never solve problems by himself and all his accomplishments feel fake because of Chaerin. They also never explains Chaerin’s unbelievable attachment to him either. I kept hoping it would show some of her past without him or discussing dragon lore but its been a stale repetition of a problem cropping up with the dad and Chaerin just using her powers to blast it away. The whole world feels 2dimensional. The more the story progresses the more I feel as if they’re stuck in a kid’s storybook

genuinely, this has pissed me off enough to crush my curiosity, I will be dropping this if the next chapter has her falling for his stupidity. I only stuck around because I liked Kaho’s character besides her infatuation with that asshole. Let me know when this ever takes a positive turn.
