Can the translator stop bitching about every fucking line for Christ sake
I am not against a simple comment from time to time or a disclaimer. But it's overdone and it kind of disturb the story flow I kept going to them multiple times thinking they will add some context but no. It really gives the impression that the translator hates the story and I think pretty much everyone understands that Duna is a very flawed human being her way of thinking is not supposed to be healthy.
plus the translator is very biased. they literally called minho daddy in the chapter. they didnt say anything when minho beat uo haesol. and in previous chapters they went "now the author is going to make you commit a crime to justify duna's rape :((" ( when minho did that little stalking bit ) as if he isnt just a bad person himself. when duna does something bad it's on her and she's terrible. but when he does something bad it's the author "making" him do it? they're literally just a minho lover which is why they have so much hate for duna lmao. because whenever he does something bad - they look the other way. we can all acknowledge everyone is bad. but they refuse to acknowledge that minho is bad too.
The author didn't need to use the stalking to justify the rape as Minho was already a piece of shit to begin with. He is abusive manipulative and spent a better part of all his time with Duna abusing her verbally calling her a whore even when they were dating. Putting her down to satisfy his fucked up ego. Not saying that anything justify rape but it's not like the stalking incident was the first time we saw a toxic behavior and dangerous behavior from him
But it's always like that. The same pattern. Minho does something, he gets abused and raped.
There are exactly few scenes when he criticised Doona's writing. He didn't call her whore, bitch when they were dating. If I'm mistaken, please correct me.
He is misogynistic asshole but he is not only rapist, right now she abuse him also emotionally and physically.
Just to be clear I am not defending her either I think she is a piece of trash and have been sexually abusive with Minho. And I agree that nothing justify rape point blank however I don't consider that all of their intercourse are non consensual either. I also remember Minho calling her a whore and deminishing her constantly while they were dating to kind of tame her and force her to stay under his control. I am sorry but this behaviour is as despicable as rape and is cruel and manipulative. Convincing someone over years that they are a piece of shit over and over qualify someone for the title of human garbage. The fact that he didn't call her whore or bitch when they were dating doesn't change the fact that it is verbal abuse over a long span of time and how he was bad-mouthing her when they were dating as a way to austrosize and isolate her.
All I am saying is that it's obviously a story about a bunch of very fucked up poeple even heasol is the most obsessive manipulative enabler I have seen in a while. And having the translator bitch about one character while totally victimizing the other and minimizing its very problematic behaviors is plain out annoying to me. It's rude to the author as it's denature their work and also problematic to the viewer as it seems to normalize the Minho type of abuse. When the translator called that piece of trash daddy it literally turned my stomach upside down
For me rape is much worse crime than being a jerk even from strictly legal point of view. What's more it's repetitive rape which also included physical tortures and emotional degradation.
I can be mistaken but if I remember correctly they've dated for a very short amount of time and the main point was about him degradating her writing. Plus comment how women shouldn't smoke. But of course I can be mistaken I read it some time ago
He definitely emotionally abused her because of his insecurities but Doona's actions are literally criminal at this point.
And from my understanding translator tries to balance the storyline? Idk? Because Doona's problems are well address and discussed, Minho's abuse have visible impact on her meanwhile Minho's trauma and abuse is not treated seriously at any point, it's downplayed and looked down on.
When he acts vulnerable and more open its only for sadists to get excited. He makes mistakes so the abuse he faces can be "justified".
He paid for his wrongdoings the highest prizes and more and others didn't face any consequences.
Omg, the premise is fun and the story not half bad but the progress is infuriating. It's like I read 40 Chapters for literally nothing
