Ok so if I remember correctly, it's the opposite. He doesn't hate her but instead loves her. Now I could be wrong I might check n let you know about it. It's just sick twisted love if he loves her.

Also i dont think he is capable of love, even gis love for god is not healthy. He believes in punishing himself for God's love, he all kinds of fvked up.
He's basically Claude Frollo the clergyman from Hunchback of Notre Dame. Flaunts himself to be a holy man and renounces the Romani as heathens but thirsts for Esmeralda. That's what the priest is in this story.
He claims himself devout and can't quite accept the fact that he's attracted to Shuri. He never speaks it out loud but he does try to get her confined in the church at one time which is just disgusting. He'll always justify his actions as Holy and that people just don't understand the church.
He is, quite simply, delusional.
The priest knows she went back in time, bc im pretty sure he went back in time with her. He's obsessed with her because he is either curious or believes god chose them both.
While I don't know what u are referring, I do think that's quite accurate depiction of him

Even I don't remember but he suspected that she was like him, as in chosen by god. And then she confirmed that she did die once. It's only been shown that he nearly died in his childhood but I don't think he's a regressor like Shuri.
i stopped reading this bc i was ready for the end to come. now that the anime adaptation started i decided to pick this back up. and wow i am sobbing by how such a great story is at an end. i literally read this in high school and now its been 6 years since. im am sobbing proud of this webtoon/manhwa. i can’t stop crying but im and so excited to know that there’s a sequel/new story of this.
