i actually think that the Emperor is good and he loved Blondina's mom but since Blondina's mom is not a noble or just probably they didn't know that she was noble and was also a descendant of Barahan and at that time he was powerless so that's why he couldn't protect Blondina's mom, i mean he said he only wanted peace between his people and Amon's tribe. He also said to his children to gather power not because of selfish reasons but for their own well being but unfortunately his daughter sucks so yeah.
plus in the novel he said that he rather want the Divine Beast's tribe to be in harmony with the people than to get rid of them because in a sense the divine beast's tribe somehow protect their kingdom because they're near and people find that intimidating???

When he got power he completely forgot her so no he's not good. Also he said countless times in the previous chapters that he could "use" Blondina to get power from the divine beasts. He sucks.
also, he wouldn't give a single fuck about Blondina if she didn't do all these things she did, he achievements. He cares only about the children who have to offer something. Remember when she was young that he didn't even allow her to walk besides him and his other children? Now he does only because she's suddenly useful. Also, i could understand if he couldn't protect Blondina's mother at the start, but once he gained power he completely forgot her, not because he couldn't marry her but simply because she didn't have anything to offer. He had his fun and then completely forgot her, simple as that.
Oh and i forgot to add the part when he told her to live as if she doesn't exist since he didn't want to have a bastard daughter then once he saw that she can tame a "divine beast" he was like "That's my daughter!". Hypocrisy at it's best. Remember these stuff before you say that you don't think he's bad again.
I mean he may be a bad lover and a bad dad but everyting you said makes him a good emperor and i somehow get it. He wants to protect his people and his power so ofc he has to be an opportunist and rhe fact that he wants to avoid war and seek for peace instead but still has a backup plan makes him a rather good man in my eyes. He's still a bad father and lover though i'll give you that
Sure a "good" emperor but definitely not a good person, in fact i doubt he even truly cares about his children. He wouldn't give a fuck if Blondina died in the past. The only reason he searched for her was because he wanted to see if she was a beast tamer .
Also your definition of "Good man" is really twisted. Someone this opportunistic doesn't truly care about his people, he just "has to care" to keep his power. We all know that emperors who ignore the public's wellbeing rarely reign much due to rebellions. He's smart and crafty but a good man? Lmao that's a good joke.
