Mangago is also my favourite site to use, I’ve been using it for almost 7 years loool. Manhwas and webtoons attract a broader audience than mangas (from my observations) and that audience is overshadowed by ppl who really just care about the smut and hot characters. Don‘t let that discourage you from actually discussing this story seriously tho. I myself am also really intrigued by the boxer and what lead tho this destructive behaviour. I’m also interested to see what the author is gonna do with him character development wise. If this is gonna have a HE (which most likely will result in MC „fixing“ him) I genuinely wanna see how they’re gonna pull this off

It may just be me, but the mc just looks dead to me, with the Ml his eyes are so expressive there’s like a soul behind it but the Mc’s his is just so…..dead, unreadable, nothing but pitch black like a sharks, you can’t tell anything, I guess no matter how extra shapeshifters put into looking human there’s always something off, like the way Lady describes it in DMC, in this case it’s the eyes chiko, the eyes…..if it were me I’ll take for the hills and keep my distance, something doesn’t feel right

Am I the only that’s worried at how frail Andrew is starting to look, not physically but like it seems the more we delve into the chapters the more I see beyond his bravado and his eyes hold a certain shade of sadness like he’s never fully there…….like if you don’t watch him close enough he’ll simply drift off like air…..I think it may just be me being too sensitive or something, but I know I’m kinda troubled by that look. I wish to avoid any heartbreak of misunderstanding scene please.
Kind of get you. Part of me thinks he's getting obssess and i think we'll have a dark phase of this story like that one manga where the ml lied about not having any experience just to get to the MC then became obsess and controlling. Because it's Andrew's 1st time of having someone who cares for him, he wants to have all of Luke to himself. Goodness! The kid even hurt himself just to get his attention.
Part of me is also thinking and a bit scared that Andrew seems lost. It felt like his strong facade that he had cultivated for how many yrs is crumbling. Im scared of him getting hurt again. He seems to give up everything jist for Luke. :( man i dont know how to express this in words but i hope you know what I mean

Now the original king Sisyphus in Greek mythology was a ruler of a kingdom called Ephyra; a small kingdom which he actually built into a very impressive empire, King Sisyphus was also a cunning ruler, and also was known for killing travelers/ visitors to asset dominance to his people, full of deceit, and as such was even able to deceive death so he was in a way immortal, as punishment to his cunning ways Zeus made him push a rolling boulder all the rest of his days, which is why he’s famously known for the rolling stone story.
Now here’s my take on Guwon
I think tying all this to the original story he is definitely immortal of some sort, he is also quite cunning and sly, and he’s more like Frankenstein monster; in some ways he’s intelligent but in some other way he is quite child like, I like how the author is incorporating the old stories of king Sisyphus into Guwons character, like killing the undead people aka travelers to show teach how scary and dangerous he can be. He mentioned the boulder which is also something king Sisyphus is tied to and also he’s an immortal, which king Sisyphus is also. So that part is sure, but for the other part of the story i guess we’ll have to wait and see what the author has in store for us.
Yessss I think the Imortal part might be also tied to him possibly being undead but a sort of very intelligent one with no memories of its past !

true, but the name 'hounds of sisyphus' comes from an anne rice book about cleopatra and ramses who were resurrected by an anciet elixir. the term refers to some damned dog creatures that were fed the elixir, which made them unhinged, hungry, monstrous.
Ahh I see, I also have seen that but somehow I’m leaning towards King Sisyphus because Guwon mentioned that boulder and he just seems to be a more modern version of what I think King Sisyphus would be like, cunning but innocent in a way.

I think the town is a metaphor for the boulder. Guwon lives at the top and the town which is repenting the boulder will always be at the bottom. We know that there has been at least one incident before the mc's arrival. The incidents represent the boulder rolling down the hill against Sisyphis's efforts. Thats why Guwon is so dead set on protecting the town even though it's probably hopeless (until mc comes along?). I'm speculating that Guwon's love will change the trajectory of events and will end the cycle. Or be the cure to the zombie problem.

Maybe the boulder could even be the zombies themselves? BC no matter how many he kills, more will continue to come and try to attack his "kingdom"

They have zero chemistry because it’s exactly what it is no chemistry at all, it was just primal need from that jerks side and a one sided weird crush on Kim dans so ofcourse there’s no chemistry whatsoever, which is quite reasonable and realistic, and also right now they can’t be any chemistry yet, Dan is really suffering and Jerk face also must take it slow with him, just because he’s discovered Dan matters to him doesn’t mean there’s gonna be chemistry all of a sudden, don’t forget Kim Dan is really at the I’m not gonna take any bs or want anything from Jerk face here so yeah zero chemistry there, let’s see how it progresses I’m sure in time the chemistry will start being there, but yeah I know they’re gonna be end game but I really don’t want them to be, jerk face has really being terrible and Dan deserves better
