If you reread it there are moments of subtle tension between the two that foreshadow it. Also the author confirms it in ch 21.5 and the Korean version of that Q and A words it in a way that leaves no confusion on whether or not he is the second lead

Give the writer some props. They put wayyy more effort into a sad backstory for Jaekyung than they did BJ Alex. This is growth. Maybe by their 3rd series, their male lead might actually be likeable.

Yh gathered as much from the constant hiatus. I’m not talking about that tho, it’s understandable that they have to take breaks for their health but you can’t deny the story progression is really lacking. Nothing ever happens. The characters have been at a standstill for like the last 20 chapters.
Oh yeah, that 100% agree. Yohan literally still didn’t get the book and we just had a backstory that didn’t need to be a full 20 chapters

I don’t understand why ppl like Ian and Van so much? I genuinely could not give a fuck about them bc their relationship feels SO FORCED (esp on Ian’s side) I’m not feeling the chemistry. Am I the only one who’s genuinely looking forward to what’s going to happen between yohan and victor???? Yohan still needs to betrayal him IF he’s still going through with that plan. And I get that Victor’s backstory went on for so long, especially with the amount of hiatus but it WAS necessary to fully understand everyone’s relationship and how it got to this point.
