I know we’re far away from it, but I CANNOT wait for the side stories between Professor Cha and the mysterious, suited Omega. They’re for sure getting a story and I’m already hooked onto their dynamic.

Wooju is either:

A) A dormant omega who was unable to present due to the events during his kidnapping, and these “pills” are something like a catalyst to kickstart his long overdue presentation as an omega.

or

B) Simply a beta who was in the wrong place, at the wrong time, with the wrong people—and it just never stopped.

A is quite a strong contender. The professor and his father being involved with the kidnapping and the vitamins are highly suspicious. Either he was a candidate for beta-omega project or the first dormant omega.

Option B would be a very interesting choice story-wise but I don’t have much faith in the author to do it justice lmao

To dislike a work of literature simply because it doesn’t revolve around the world and society “you” know, is impressively ignorant. But would this again become another example of the “freedom/for one’s own gain” the West emphasises, and the “obedience/for the collective” the East exists upon? Who knows.

Android vs Human, AI vs the Soul – from what used to be a dream to being in the works to being fully functional, it’ll be a something that’ll be argued over endlessly, and I absolutely adore any and every works of fiction that tackle this dilemma. (I sure do love my sci-fi). The idea isn’t something groundbreaking – we’ve long known the concept of AI & androids & robots, and the issues that they will inevitably come with, but I will always appreciate the conversations it arises.

Kudos to the author for writing this story (I will most definitely be heading off to read the rest of the novel), and great thanks to the artist for understanding the complexities of such a story. It’s a little disheartening to find out the artist decided to end the comic midway, but they did so in a really nice and ‘fulfilling’ way.

Honestly this was actually very realistic to me (compared to other stories), the worries Seunghyun had about his love life, his career, and his future are completely realistic and valid when you’re in your twenties. The natural progression of Seunghyun and Mr Kim’s relationship (from seeing each other to dating) was fleshed out well for a short story. I could understand the perspectives of both Seunghyun and Mr Kim during the whole Yusung ordeal.

Seunghyun had no experience in relationships, and his long-time crush was never fulfilled. Of course, he’s going to be worried over things like this – it’s natural. This is technically his first time going through what most think are “childish” feelings, of course his reactions and behaviour is going to be different. He’s a fresh masters grad, going into his first internship role at a big company too – all these things are something that resonate with a lot of people in their twenties (I can definitely relate). He’s experiencing most of his ‘firsts’ (like his first kiss). He’s bound to feel overwhelmed and flustered. Hence why he’s constantly overthinking, doubting himself, and seeking advice from JiYeon.

And for Mr Kim, of course he found it ridiculous and frustrating when Seunghyun behaved like that – Mr Kim is older, and is shown to be far more experienced in the dating scene and relationships. He doesn’t go through the process of “do they like me, do they not like me, should I, shouldn’t I?” in the way that an inexperienced person like Seunghyun does. You mature in all aspects when you grow older, so his level of starting and being in a relationship is already at a certain standard.

They’re at two different stages of life, career, and romance experience. Such issues are bound to arise, and for those two, they behaved healthily and communicated about it later. They don’t fault each other for being the way they are, they communicate, help each other grow, and it was so beautifully done, I really would like to give kudos to the author for writing the story, and the artist for being able to convey the characters so well.

I absolutely adore this story, the pacing, the dynamics of the characters, the office culture, etc. Even the scene of JiYeon later apologising for outing Seunghyun – it was very realistic. As someone who’s experienced literally the same situation as Seunghyun (being accidentally lightly outed by best friend while drunk and having an apology from said best friend), it was just really cool to see this being addressed and put into the story. A lot of this story, I truly felt like I was being seen. And I’m really glad to have come across this story.

Everything about this story, I adored. I think I’ll come back and read this often, I think it’s just wonderful. I also hope to see the artist work on WLW stories in the future too, I’d love to read them!
