Could an author suprise us for once and not let any pairing become endgame at the end?

    Oeufcoque. May 27, 2025 6:24 pm

or a throuple (maybe... but I think Ian can't handle 2 insatiable horses on top of him...)

Or that either of them would be okay "sharing" Ian. If this was the route she was gonna take that development would have started already. Don't get your hopes too high

Himari? (Bottom) Is very honest and really a little too sheltered. It felt unrealistic but I guess there really are people like this out there. Hence why i find Gaku's (top) behaviour low-key rapey. Consent can't be established when there's ignorance in play. It's not even dubcon it's non on. So weird. And I'm so uneasy now with this stuff and sex sciences with high school students. It was okay when I was a teen myself but now it's kinda disgusting also Himari was high-key misogynistic. Like yikes. Says more about the author than anything.

the problem i have with this comment is you calling Himari misogynistic. He has never put down women, he just gets uncomfortable around them because of his personal experiences. It’s mainly being a shy person because he’s realize women aren’t like his mom and sister. But sure, Gaku’s intentions in the beginning is controversial I can give you that.

If it's what he felt then it was poorly written

As a seasoned veteran of reading the controversial genre of "Boy's Love" (10+ years) I've had my fair share of stories.

But once in a while I stumble on a story with art and plot and characterization and emotion so carefully crafted it makes my soul ache. And I can't help but yearn for more.

'Tis why I, your humble fellow reader, have come to you for some recommendations of stories similar to Wolf in the House.

For those who read it (and liked it) you may guess the type of vibe I'm looking for.

Think melancholy with a mix of actually funny humour, no SA, deep relatable and characters written with care that actually feel real and not some caricatures to serve as an excuse to write porn (as an unassuming smut enjoyer).

Thanks in advance for reading. (Sorry if I come off as condescending)

It's really really hard to top Wolf In The House. It's so unique. But I found that anything by the author is a good read. They're so sensual and has that human feel about them.

On another note, maybe you'll like Honbul: Flame of the Soul. or Turning.

    papiyato July 27, 2025 3:34 pm

plot isn't similar but i highly recommend dark heaven, it has a unique art style like wolf in the house, humor, fun dialogue/banter, story, LOTS of care put into the characters, (there is some disturbing SA but not between the love interests) but i get it if you can't read it

Also the story covers issues like racism, homophobia, etc
