My sister was the fav child, and it pisses me off how he literally just gets shit on by his dad? I used to bleed because of mine and I still have scars and yk what I did every single time? I took whatever he held and hit him back with it, I fought back every single time, I'd scream and shout at him and tell him he's a pathetic human and how he's failed as a person and as a father. Parents raise their kids but I'd say I raised my father bc the man of a few words he is right now is all because I stood my ground when he was violent and abusive

This may come as a surprise to you, but not everyone reacts the same against abuse. Some people are genuinely scared, and fear isn't the same with everyone. Another comment said that they were just like the MC. Abuse, trauma, that's not something to shame someone for. I'm sorry for what you went through but not everyone has the same mental or physical capacity to be like you, also mental illnesses are a huge thing to consider. You're being unreasonably unfair just because your situation was different. After reading about someone who relates to the MC's story, I think what you wrote is a bit insensitive.

He seems to be very intellect and sophisticated elsewhere but when it comes to his situation with his father be suddenly becomes a little bunny ready to be pounced on by a wolf. Someone as accomplished and emotionally developed as him wouldn't be processing abuse like this. It's actually a plothole bc the author could've fleshed him out and wrote him to be consistent as a character but yeah no. Horrible writing, uke is a pathetic little twink, if he was a stupider guy maybe it would've worked. But being such an aware person and taking all that abuse whilst never questioning it...
Like I said people take in abuse differently?? You’re point is what Sure he’s smart towards everyone else but his source of trauma and fear is from his dad. So it’s hard for him to go against him.
