Im on chapter 15 rn, and i have to say empress dowager has NO FAULT IN THIS. She was only 19 when the late king decided to make her child the crown prince or whatever. So she was only 14-16 when gave birth to him, at this age ofc she wouldn't feel any "motherly love" BECAUSE SHE WAS ONLY A CHILD HERSELF having this in the plot makes total sense but it always breaks my heart bc that girl went through so much... they never get acknowledged for the pain they went through and they have to be the one to apologize when those women are the ones with scars themselves im hoping for some more attention to her bc my heart cries out for her
