he acts like a kid and can’t regulate that he’s upset that the MC isn’t dating him. he then takes it out on him by making sure they are mistaken as lovers and always takes first place. as an academic weapon this actually pisses me off in webtoons when the ML always comes in first place and the MC is either always 2nd or last. sasuke and naruto have this dynamic but kushina didn’t raise no bitch and naruto is known for being better at sasuke at things like chakura reserves (he got infinite stamina), talk no jutsu, and my username. basically your characters should balance each other and rn the ML is wiping the floor with the MC. the other acceptable paring where one character comes in first place and the other comes in second place is Special A (a romance anime) but this one works because the ML always speaks highly of the MC and you can see how much he respects her. he’ll always pick on her for being second, but he never once believes he’s better than her, if anything he aspires to be like her. I think that’s what’s lacking from this story. I never see the ML actually treat the MC like he respects him or admires his strength or anything. he just starts confessing and crying one minute then being an asshole the next.
