Checked out the raws and wow, delulu redhead really did something. This is the first time I saw the FL seriously struggle. I mean, obviously she failed but she at least got a few "hits" in, mostly taking away FL powers was the biggest. And I hope she gets tortured for it, most likely will, but I hope we get to see some of it. Cause oh boy when the Emperor and that obsessed mad scientist found out they were VERY unhappy lol, and that makes me happy cause that means heads will roll.

Hopefully the link works:

Yeah, her fire abilities. Unfortunately the raws haven't gotten past the discovery of her missing powers and the emperor going to the mad scientist in the underground prison to help him figure out how to get them back. I'm pretty sure they will return since her revenge is still ongoing. I think this is just a plot setup so the ML reassures the FL that he'd still want her even without her powers since FL might be unsure of herself and her standing with the Emperor since he did say how he valued her because of her powers. But that's all speculation on my part, no actual proof yet if the story will go that route or not. But she'll definitely get her powers back it will just be a couple chapters until we get to that point though

I get the arguments supporting the romance, but I still don’t like this arc and never will. It’s not even the couple. I think they’re adorble together and personally, I WANTED them to end up together,, but why? Why did it have to happen THIS WAY? Why force all these confessions to happen in public?
These two grew up as child actors. They’ve been in the business their entire lives, they understand what it means to be celebrities, and they know what scandals can do. After the first time they got caught, you’d think they’d be more careful. There’s no way they don’t have access to private spaces like an office, a car, or literally anywhere more discreet. but no, instead the story makes them throw all that awareness and experience out the window, TWICE,just to create drama. It feels lazy and out of character.
And that’s the real issue for me. This romance feels like an afterthought, forced rushed. The relationship could have been introduced in a much better way while still leaving room for drama to keep readers hooked. We needed more,, like if we got flashbacks of their history, subtle hints, little moments of ML blushing or staring at FL, actual buildup that shows their feelings growing naturally. THEN you bring in the scandal or paparazzi drama to test their new relationship. That would make sense.
But the way it’s written now, the drama isn’t testing their love. It’s what creates it. And that makes the whole thing feel questionable. Like, would they have gotten together at all if the scandal never happened.

Thiiisss..
Yes some people hate romance like it’s an illness lol, but me personally hate how the author unfold the love story. Like isn’t it nice to pour one spoon of romance here and there throughout the manhwa? But the author was like “no, let’s just pour a whole gallon of romance noooow.”
Like you said, it feels like the romance was an afterthought, an impulsive act, an idea that suddenly popping up because the author is forced to release 5-10 chapters before ending it.
Honestly, rather than angry, I’m just sad that the writing suddenly turns bad╥﹏╥

Love Lan so much but oof, I forgot how frustrating she was being while this was on hiatus. It's mostly the "pushing another women on the ml because of the original storyline says so" trope that is annoying. Always hated when a FL did that but so happy Eus exploded and said my thoughts out loud. He has his own Will Lan, and that goes for the ogFL as well. Even if the worst does happen you can't just force people in the moment to be together because of a "what if?!" that only you know or understand, it's disrespectful to their agency as a person. So glad it was resolved, now go give Lan a bunch of love Eus, the poor girl needs it.

I don't understand how y'all can never understand that trope.
Cuz imma be fr, if I ever reincarnate to a manhwa, I would do the same! Who knows what could happen??? What if we dated and they still longed for their destined partner and then leave me? The fls are just being logical lmao but ig u can never truly sympathize cuz ur a reader who knows they are the endgame. But put urself in her shoes. She's just a person who reincarnated to a world in which she knows what happens to the future. She's a reader just like us, so she knows who the endgames r lol Not only that, she's literally living in that very story.
Nothing annoying about protecting themselves from getting possibly heartbroken.

I get what you’re saying, but for me it’s not about not understanding her. I do understand she’s scared and wants a backup plan. My problem is the way she goes about it. Protect yourself all you want, but don’t shove the ML toward another girl when neither of them even want that. If you’re afraid of heartbreak, distance yourself or break up, sure, but why go out of your way to force two people into a relationship that doesn’t need to happen?
If it’s “destined”, then let it happen naturally. Forcing it is extra and unnecessary. The ML and ogFL are their own people, and they deserve the choice. To me, it’s hypocritical, she’s worried about her own heart, but she’s trampling on their agency. If he’s in love with her and showing it with his words and actions, how is pushing him at someone else helping anyone?
That’s why I hate this trope. It’s not the fear of heartbreak I take issue with, it’s the “I must pair them up because the story says so” mindset. Just leave, or stay and fight fate, but don’t build a relationship against the will of the people involved.
So this is the last chapter of the season. Don't know how long it will take for next season to come out. Overall was a meh read, but good enough to read occasionally. Also, kind of pissed about Chapter 57 ending, I don't like huge cliffhangers.
