What comes after seven?

Bleh. It's giving incest vibes. I don’t care if they're not actually related, still fucked up.

Plus, ML is trashhhh.

It was okay. I personally think that the story was decently crafted, but it just didn't feel satisfying to me in the end.

Is anyone else getting this? Like—she’s 24 but acts like a teenager, stuck in old wounds even though her family’s been consistently loving for, like, 18 years. I get that she feels like they’re walking on eggshells around her, and yeah, society can be pretty messed up, but—if I pushed my sister down the stairs and she fell asleep for a month, I’d probably think she’s delicate too and I'd feel really guilty. Not to mention, I feel like after 18 years you would understand that your family I dunno…. loves you? Especially if they're being genuine? And saying it's just trauma is a lazy excuse for writing in this case. It just doesn't feel well done.

Also, It just doesn’t seem like she’s capable of thinking in the other person’s shoes unless it’s relevant to the love story between her and tamex. She recognizes that her family trats her well and is kind, but still thinks it’s fake???, and when she does reckless stuff or lashes out, the story never really challenges her. It even paints other characters as wrong for reacting normally—like a mom worrying about her other missing kid after a kidnapping AND after seeing that one of them is okay?—and somehow that’s treated like a slight against the MC. Hell, the mom immediately feels bad too because she's aware that Marshall might take it wrong. WHICH SHE DOES. Her moments of competence only show up when it’s convenient, and there’s barely any real growth. Then when she reveals that she knows about her back story to her mom and dad (aunt And uncle) the mother fucker has the gall to not let them explain. At all.

I dunno, I understand her actions, but it just feels like the story is writing around her emotional baggage so she isn’t wrong. Anyone else picking up on that?


If it gets better please tell me bc I'm thinking of dropping this.

It was good. Kinda wanted the end to be more bittersweet but good
