So i've read the novel and loved it but i've read to chp 7 and there are so many things that have changed so i wanna ask someone whom have read both to tell me is it worth it ?
So far i'm not liking the changes so do they stick with the story or ?
Honestly, I prefer season 1 which was taking a slight different turn or changes from the novel just because the way the author/artist made it, made the story flowing good and interesting. Although the MC character depiction seems different from the novel, he still make people like him a lot.
And then come season 2 trying to follow through how the novel depicts the story, the MC design changed to fit more to what the novel said. But I think in that process, the changes seems to bring more of a backlash.
Not everyone who read the manhwa did actually read the novel or even will read the novel at all, so we prefer what we think is better at bringing excitement and proper story flow. We don’t read the novel so we don’t know what’s the changes they made to that season 1 manhwa.
But all we know is that when the manhwa season 2 came out, most opinion on it was negative, especially on the MC’s new characters design and his personality depiction. I for one, dropped this after couple chapters on season 2, but reread season 1 more times.
Meanwhile, novel readers seems to prefer season 2 because it kinda more on following the novel.
So yeah, if you’ve read the novel first, maybe you will like this more when you catch up to season 2.
So amma drop this, i think it is a good story and the art is great but it's just so dark, i went in thinking this is the epic adventure of the home schooled Martial into the world but no, so much politics and drama and backstabbing so yeaa if you want an epic adventure i'd suggest lightning degree or The Undefeatable Swordsman
I tried reading lightning degree but is it tht good? it was boring in the start
Yeaa the first 14 chp are boring , you can just skim them as they are not important in the story, just training .
But after that it's hella good
