The dangers of Self-Diagnosing... and the internet... Please don't SELF DIAGNOSE yourself and call your PET PEEVE, a 'PHOBIA'. PHOBIA is more extreme than FEAR or annoyance or anxiousness... and I think that's belittling the REAL people who have REAL phobias who are struggling everyday. A phobia is a 'MEDICALLY DIAGNOSED IRRATIONAL ILLNESS' and it doesn't equate to a simple 'fear'. Medically diagnosed means.... properly diagnosed by a certified doctor. I just thought I'd say because people do 'self diagnose' themselves a lot in the internet these days. Can't it just be called a 'pet peeve' or 'something that irks' people. Anyways......   1 reply
