I remember it's about this uke who's with a pretty abusive boyfriend? Or one who isn't faithful at least because uke's little brother (not sure if they're blood related) comes into his apartment one day and begs the bf to go after him instead of the uke to "save" him. but in actuality the little brother is a hoe who enjoys stealing all the uke's bfs and things. i also remember that the mother keeps calling the uke and warning him not to let his little brother stray off the path because the mother knows the uke is gay and doesn't want the little brother to associate with him while not knowing that the little bro is a hoe. I also remember the uke getting a call one day while the bf is having sex with the little bro and the little bro is acting all innocent and confused like he doesn't know what sex is.
I'm looking for a LevixEren doujin where Eren is trying to find a specific brand of tea for Levi. He stumbles into a tea shop run by two owners and manages to buy it. When he gives it to Levi, who claims that it's a fake because the tea brand isn't made anymore but when he drinks it, he realizes that it's the real deal. When he asks Eren where he got it, Eren tells him he found it in a tea shop run by Isabel and Farlan which gets Levi into a panic of course since they're dead.
Can someone spoil to me why the ML likes the MC and when he started actually liking the MC if the original reason he got close to MC was because of a bet? Or was the bet just a ruse because ML originally fell in love with MC at first sight and needed a way to get close to him?
:/ It is explained in the chapters. Gray hair explained it.
Gray hair explained the bet and how it all started on the surface but what I wanna know is that if ML actually has true feelings for MC and if maybe ML had a secret motive of trying to be in a relationship with MC and using the bet as a cover. I was hoping someone who had read the novel could explain it.
You might have skipped a chapter, sweetie. Gray hair was reminiscing about the first time the seme met the uke. :/ It was fetish at first sight.
What is the name of this novel?
Originally, ML was only in it for the bet. He definitely had malicious intentions from the start. He didn’t respect MC as a person, and he only thought of him as a toy for his own entertainment.
Incidentally, he started to develop feelings later in the story, I’m guessing it was when they opened up to each other about their personal lives. They could relate with each other, they supported each other, they were there for each other. As someone who only relied on a luxurious lifestyle and all sorts of substances to make himself feel whole, his relationship with the MC must’ve felt like paradise.
But ML’s way of loving is very destructive. It stemmed from years of abuse and neglect by his father that led him to become who he hated most. And his love destroyed many people; It destroyed MC’s trust in him, destroyed his relationships with his friends, and it definitely destroyed him as well. ML is obsessive, possessive, and abusive. He loves MC, but he’s obviously very unstable to manage an actual relationship with MC.
You don’t have to like ML as a person, but understanding him as a character would definitely help you make sense of what the narrative is trying to convey to you.
Thanks for this explanation. I was hoping the novel would have a future chapter from the ML's POV maybe explaining that it was love at first sight but I guess that's not the case. From other people who have read the novel, it seems to go very badly but I'm still hopeful for a happy ending.
You’re welcome!
I’m pretty sure the author wrote this in order for us to experience firsthand how the MC felt when he was in that toxic environment, which is why we only saw how the story goes in the MC’s perspective.
For complex characters like the ML, without much of his backstory and perspective, it is difficult to really see or understand him. Because in the MC’s eyes, there are times where he was so sweet but times where he was absolutely insane. Readers could only analyze the ML’s character through how emotionally unstable and open he was when he was with the MC.
I heard that people were saying that the ML graped the MC, but that is not true. The translation is really bad, and I suppose that was what led people to start misunderstanding. ML is a terrible person with a twisted personality, but he is still capable of development. Although he might not be to everyone’s liking, he can still change as a person.
Eventually, both MC and ML got together again after a year of not talking, and they worked things out between them through mutual understanding and respect (ML tried really hard to understand and respect MC when we weren’t talking, even going as far as to read books about it). And after seeing how far they’ve come, it’s very heartwarming because now they love each other equally without any impure intentions.
