omfg the author just loves angst, we finally resolved the romantic issues, and i was just thinking how cute the vassals are and how much they love their lord, and how adorable ribbit is and i hate to see it sad, but now it just got even worse...
even though i'm mad we were left hanging when it was getting so hot, it makes perfect sense to end the story here as illic finally realized/accepted his feelings and begun taking the initiative himself, and so is no longer just a plaything. this is a literal turning point marking the end of this era of their relationship.
the art literally reached perfection in my eyes, this is the type of pairing and dynamic that is visually my favorite, so i can just hope the author gives us more stories like this.
