I hate redemption arcs alot in Bl because most of the stuff they’ve done isn’t redeemable in the slightest. Abuse, rape SA etc none of this stuff is redeemable yet most Yaoi authors & fans act like it is and they just completely gloss over everything that happened beforehand, it’s just weird and I hate it.

I think Ai could write a better plot than most BL authors. They write such slop, it’s unbearable. Like I know a handful of good original BL mangas/manhwas/manhuas, the rest are novel adaptations which as long as they’re adapted faithfully, are pretty good. Again except for some BL novels that suck ass
