I think the emperor killed her fiance and because when we saw him on the ground he looked somewhat fine and could be healed, but then he told the captain dude to kill him. Also I feel like he had to do something to her for her to forget her memories because it just seems to suspicious for her to randomly lose her memories, because when they met she was still awake but it could be trauma related. Idk though just a thought
