You have to read Aru Otoko no Uta and Yoru To Asa No Uta first in order to mentally prepare for this manga. I like many twisted/viloent type manga but this one particularly was not my taste. After reading the first part it was easier to digest and accept his vile treatment. It wasn't horrible or exactly enjoyable. The visual was pretty vivid so made certain scenes more intensely disturbing. I wouldn't recommend reading it before the first part. I like other works by this mangaka they're talented
