lady wished for a child, but i guess mc’s not op to the point of randomly granting a wish involving life like that (such a specific and heavy wish too) so it took her soul, or there’s some magic mechanism going on. either way the deal’s funked up and her and her dad’s magic is now linked in a way (her being unstable, getting her magic when he was hit, him waking up when she poked him). might even go mc having to choose between magic and family, but it won’t go down that road, right?
