I've never been bothered by age gaps (mother was 10 years older than dad). I was actually excited to see a future spoiler (I live for those, really I do). Personally, mental age to me is more important than physical age. R & F together makes sense to me because he is THE ONLY ONE who tried to figure her out and understand her properly (I loved that scene where he used that circlet on her to view her past, when they synchronized and his heart was moved).
