I have a theory. There is a long period of time when Shoujo/josei ‘s ML are trashy, so many miscommunication and unnessecary jealousy, and that’s why BL stories are more popular. Yes there are good MLs obviously but it can be count on 1 hand (i exagerate)
Now josei & shoujo has greener Male leads & healthier communication, so it’s time they flourish!!
