guys idk, usually i can read anything but for some reason this just bores me a lot. really unfortunate too since the art is good. maybe ill give if another shot later. theres js something about it that makes it so boring or ig predictable?? IDEKKKK
Maybe it’s a cliche to you since it’s about a noble that is striving for a lazy life, but is doing far too much work “naturally”. Which just leads you comparing better stories with the same concept but makes those others stories seem more “exciting” than the slow pace of this story.
hmm, im not sure… maybe. i mean idm what work shes doing tbh, maybe you are right with the cliche part but i read a lot of cliche stuff and i enjoy more than half of them. i just cant put my hand on it idk what exactly it is. cuz i know its predictable but ive read stories that r like ya so predictable but still love em. its driving me insane as to why i cant enjoy this one

Yeah not every story needs to be the same "im so strategic, strong and capable woman who stands out from the crowd". I love those I do, but like variety is the spice of life you know? I don't want the same tropes over and over all the time.
It's nice to have different characterization for a FL. Like just because a woman is soft/shy doesn't mean she's poorly written or has no useful skills. Honestly, it's a bit weird sometimes how often it's demanded of female lead characters to not be "weak" or else they're considered "bad".

Yeah I mean sometimes the stories are just poorly written all around. But I've seen comments on comics where the girl isn't girlbossing and they're like "she's weak and a pushover! Bad story!! She sucks!"
And I go into it anyway and it's like.... Just a normal character?? Or like... If she is a pushover it's like "um yeah.... That's kind of the point?? She's supposed to be a bit of a pushover??"
Like in this, the FL in this story is timid because her mom made her hide herself away and feel insignificant. And she is attached to the ML because he had taken care of her and she didn't want to marry him because she feels like he's always seen her as just a kid. She's not unaware that he's not a "good person" either, like she outright says he's not, but she wants to help him anyway because he's been there for her. She's smart, but self sacrificing.
Like she has a backstory that thoroughly makes it clear why she is the way she is and how she responds to certain things.
Hell sometimes I feel like they don't make FL's more timid depending on their circumstances. Like when they are timid and a pushover in their first life, die, and then come back a fully formed girlboss, who is effective at threatening people immediately as a young child/teen. Like that feels like an unrealistic and sudden change of heart
i love the slow burn, sorry not sorry its what keeps me here. ya the sex scenes r good (duh) but i love how its like watching a kdrama show and waiting 24 episodes for them to kiss and they finally do and i cry happy tears. ofc here its like waiting for her and him to js get together and waiting for something bad to happen (aka her probably finding out what he does)
YESSS THANK YOU. I’m tired of rushing! This is a great build up and to watch the FL slowllllyyy get entranced by him is so intense + intriguing, makes everything he’s doing for her actually impactful. I’m tired of characters immediately obsessing, without the little moments in between, and I feel like a ton of stories lack self awareness in characters. WHICH BOTH OF THEM HAVE IN THIS. They feel more realistic! Everyone who complains has got to read in between the lines this story is way more intense than ppl realize!

does no one appreciate backstory anymore. like i get yall hate him and as do i but im curious as to why he changed. i love when theres backstory because we get to know why everyone happened. plus no backstory feels like an empty story
I def dont appreciate the backstory chapters. Feels like lazy filler chapters. Yes we get it he was a nice guy and because of money issues he changed. People can change without some big dramatic reason as to why. Lets move on to progressing the current time line

disappointed with the ml choosing, im tired of black hair mls! i wanted the prince!!!!!! GRAAA anyway everyones complaining abt the story but i think its honeztly nice and refreshing, especially the gods commentary. however i am easily pleased. 9/10!! (down a point bc of the ml hehe)
