Idk why people are saying this is a dumb when this is absolutely necessary for the main story to get moving. For the fl to know its “okay” to be half-wolf. She has been hated, despised for being a half wolf, and knows that the dragons hated wolves so of course this is a big deal for her. Its not like she asked to be told “oh my god thank u for telling us ur so brave” its just that she has always feel small (being a half-wolf) and being told something like “we already know” feels like “we thought its a big thing u wanna announce & share” feels like ur SECRET which u have been hiding ur whole life, feels like its nothing. Imagine u were coming out to someone and they make it like its no big issue. For some people, it takes courage to come out and IT IS A BIG DEAL. It makes u feel smaller of course, but it also makes u feel dumb for hiding it and makes u question ur self worth. Its good that she wants to take a time off to figure things out instead of being depressed and lashing out. It shows maturity.
