But I don’t think that makes Myung-Ha a victim. He is making a choice here. Just because one’s options are difficult to choose doesn’t mean you don’t have any. He’s in a tragic and sad position that unfortunately is not at all unique to him. He could choose to work his tail off and try to pay for it but that likely wouldn’t be enough…..so he’s choosing to sell himself. He could confide in the folks at the cub and throw a fund raising strip night for cancer this is an option. There is also the forth option of letting the disease run it’s course.
His mothers death is possibility no matter what he chooses so Im sure he feels he has to do what gives her the best odds. But he is making a choice to do that. He know full well what he’s doing. So to me it makes him tragic but definitely not a victim.
