It’s been a while since I’ve read fantasy BL, much less ones that focus on the plots than sex and romance. Holy crap, this was so good, I truly was able to sympathize with our MC because of the backstory and the current story going forward that the authors wrote.
You can tell that these writers truly care for the plot.
Like, they are really fleshing out our MC and the ML. Plus, their relationship got explored from unfriendly ‘acquaintances’ to friends and now perhaps something more.
The slow burn on this one was deserved because I believe our MC has never truly fell in love before yet. He was so young going through the adversaries.
I want to go in and give him a hug, saying that he shouldn’t feel guilty for surviving well. That he should talk more about his fallen comrades because if I was one of the family members of the fallen, I’d appreciate knowing that my relative/SO was still carrying their identity with them. And they instilled it in our MC. It’s like there’s a part of them in the MC, and that’s a really great gift.
He probably thinks he deserves to die because he was so young. He needs huge therapy sessions.

It's a fantasy BL about an S class "reconstruction" hunter who specialize in repair destroyed town after a dungeon break and he's depressed since his friends are all dead in a dungeon raid gone wrong. He tried to resurrect his friends using his power but they end up lifeless like a zombie. His power also prevents him from killing himself or them to put his friends to rest. Then ML came to offer him a deal, help them on dungeon raids and ML will help MC to put his friends to rest. Their relationship progress from there but it's such a beautiful read because the focus isn't on the romance itself but more on the characters and story building. It's really well written imo

Yes, the sexy time was good. But, I wasn’t that captivated by our main couple (or only couple). I mean, I was but I was more interested in the story itself.
I read this in one go, and tbh, I actually really enjoyed it. I’m glad the author didn’t decide to introduce any side couples because it allows us to focus on the main couple.
However, they also introduce us to a bunch of handsome guys, I mean the water guy is hot, the blonde’s right hand guy with the mint hair is hot, like yes.
And! We get plots attached to the side characters as well! Like the guy who can control minds or the monster kid.

Like, I don’t get it. The story tells us that the blonde is number one ranked and very strong but, the story also shows us how fragile he is and easily faints plus he doesn’t even have attack spells until he picked up the bow and arrow.
Is he ranked number one because his Vassals are stronger than him? I need to see the story fully unlock his potential so I can believe he is ranked number one.
And why did he get killed twice by the grand duke? What’s up with that? We weren’t even told why… like I get it if he was punished but killed?

WHY BEHIA STRONG
i think rank is based on how far up you get up the tower dungeon. so sehyun's (main character/mc) behia empire has gotten to like level 80 something and i think even second place is not even close. so that's why the empire is ranked #1 even though sehyun isn't a "warrior," since i think the kings climb with their vassals.
WHY SEHYUN WEAK THO?
the behia empire (golden celestials) actually was originally weak - and mc was matched with them from the aptitude test. they only became strong because sehyun turned them into dark celestials.
mc's strengths are compassion, kindness, and bravery. sehyun might not have great offensive power but he is able to boost the stats for the behia heros when they battle -- and his support power is based on how high is love for them is. i dont think anyone else in their empire who can do that has shown up in the webtoon yet. so he's not exactly weak, but also his aptitude test results basically said...he a weak twink...lol...so...i mean not that i would mind a buffed up sehyun that would be interesting...hahhahahaha--
WHY LUHAK KILL SEHYUN??
it's still unclear exactly what made luhak kill mc, but i don't think it was personal...honestly i think he just has trust issues, because luhak killed all the other behia kings in the past (there is a slightly better reason for this but it's a spoiler, slight hint in beginning of chapter 66).
but note that each king has six lives, and mc was killed three times - which means during his fourth run through, sehyun wasn't killed (instead he quit the game).
WHY MC FALL IN LOVE???
im not sure how and when the mc fell in love with luhak - my best guess is mc kept restarting like we do when we play video games hoping he could "beat" it in six tries, and then during the fourth run through he really started bonding with the grand duke and then they caught ~feelings~ for each other

So, from your response and my understanding. Our MC, the blonde angel is more of an enchanter, right? He specializes in strengthening other people, mostly his people.
No wonder I see him as frail and weak. Technically speaking he’s not weak in the power sense, just perhaps physically, defensively and offensively. His power is so great he could enhance his kingdom to become the number one-ranked. But, he’s easily defeated or bested by other races.
And thank you for the romance explanation part. Tbh, I haven’t taken a liking to the dark angel yet. He’s so.. stoic and nonchalant. He only says a few words and is very aggressive, possessive and obsessive.
I mean, in the earliest chapters, when the blonde only asked to stay together (sleep together), he didn’t mean it sexually yet the dark angel was like “sleeping together means sex, and this is all for sex, if not I’m leaving”. And that’s just the vibes I get from him. It seems he’s very lustful towards our MC. Haven’t seen him truly cherished him in a… romantic kinda way.
And I forgot to add this in my original comment, but why did the dark angel spout two responses? “I cherish/hate you”? Can you clarify this scene for me? Is it because he’s an NPC, he isn’t truly able to cherish the blonde angel? So, his script is written for him. He can only respond that he ‘hates’ him while in fact, he actually cherishes him?

so basically, bill will the guide intervened in sehyun's game so that when luhak said "i cherish you," what mc saw was "i hate you," breaking his heart and making him quit the game.
why? the guides saw that mc's empire was at like level 80 and the other players' empires were way behind him. if mc climbs the tower too quickly, the other players won't be able to level up in time or have a chance of catching up. if mc quits the game, he would stop climbing the tower in elix, and other players would have time to grow stronger and could close the gap.
if you want to read about the tower/barrier it's in chapter 48, then bill will's answer is in chapter 49, and the big reveal of i cherish you is chapter 50. i believe there IS more to why players need time to catch up, but it hasn't completely been revealed yet
so from luhak's perspective, he basically got confessed to, confessed back, and then mc left and never came back. he got ghosted so hard lol and took it as betrayal :<

I love FT. I grew up with it but what the heck. FT 100 has been lackluster. I appreciate and respect that Elfman is getting some spotlight and has a new beast form. But it’s just so unwarranted and it comes and goes swiftly like “ok, cool”.
In order to make us truly stick to Elfman, they should’ve developed him more before this fight happened. Not just him, everybody else too.
