THIS this is what I've been looking for!!!! Imo In lots of story the concept of unwavering hero and plain white character in front of evil and harsh reality make no sense like you gotta dirty yourself in order to end the dirty system itself especially if you don't have power! The Mc character, sacrifice, and plan on correcting the system and dragging the evil down with their sins make it even more thrilling!
Ngl I would love to see a fixed ending but this open ending isn't so bad either.
