So I read some of the novel……
I read some of the novel (chpt 29 here = chapt 54 ish of the novel if you use a site with the chapters broken into parts) and boy. The website literally gave me an add for getting psychotherapy while reading.
She’s trapped and forcefully retained from chapters 54-62ish. The crown prince isn’t really slow about realizing how broken she has become and is aware that he’s only hurting her while actively forcing a ring on her finger. The fudger literally thinks that it’s ok if she hates him and wants to end her life subscription early as long as he can keep the shell of her by his side.
Tevin manages to sneak in and see her once while at the first location but ends up getting hurt because they got caught up in the moment while kissing and the fudger happened to come in. Tevin escapes and lives but then MC is moved to and even worse location. She is only allowed her bedroom where even the servants barely have access and the only entrance is through the idiots room.
He proceeds to force her to interact with men if the temple who gave her trauma to “teach her how to stop using her powers” and then says they will hold their wedding at the temple. Wedding day comes and she loses it. While having a meltdown about not only forcefully marrying him but also it being done at the temple, bombs start dropping in the area.
Turns out her hubbies had pulled up with some other people who hated those involved and started causing a mess. She found out because while being practically dragged and force to move, she started saying that she wanted to get married. They popped up pretty freaking quick.
After rescuing her from the people “escorting her to safety”, the one with powerful magic asks if she wants to destroy the temple. Of course she says no the first few times due to trauma and a sense of responsibility. But the citizens slowly start slandering her and claiming her to be a witch as she does not heal people.
So what does hubbie do? Blow the place up Didn’t even ask her again when she was clearly distraught about the accusations people were making just straight destruction. Of course she was upset at first but then kinda loses it psychologically and begins to smile and laugh. Poor baby was finally starting to let it out.
