Some comments are talking like Roman and his soldiers feats have not been impressive thus far just because there will be sacrifices. Hell, they've been TOO impressive for a fairly new dukedom/powership whatever he's called. They been growing at unnatural paces because of his literal past life knowledge. If he hadn't immediately submitted, Chronos would have crushed him anyway, we just didn't know they were actually strong as hell.
But Chronos being strong is not unrealistic, just unexpected. The nation has been biding their time to conquer everyone for decades and has clearly hoarded all of the talent and resources. This isn't and shouldn't be an easy fight.
Just because we enjoy seeing Roman win doesn't mean he has to be overpowered and win easily just because he's great. Like, all of these manhwa with Day 1 OP protagonists have really been spoiling people into wanting instant gratification all of the time, and it's weird.
I like that other manhwa 'Tyrant of the Tower Defense Game' for similar reason that they don't just win because "Look at me, I'm some cool guy with past cheats" there is ups and downs that the MC has to overcome.
