As someone who has read quite a few of these "superpower, dungeon, tower" type manhwas, this was severely underwhelming and kinda boring. The couple also does nothing for me, the mc feels so one-dimensional and doesn't have any personality except being scared, or blushing with his mouth open. They clearly tried to make the ml like sociopathic or whatever but I was just cringing the entire time. I finally dragged myself to finish it after the 4th time of coming back, cause people recommended it. Well. At least I've gotten it out of the way

Truly, every time they entered a dungeon, I would always physically prepare myself for absolute peak, but it was always really disappointing. They didn't explore different powers, levels, and the sort properly, I thought it was like that to give way for the romance but given the romance was also so underdeveloped, I truly dont understand. It was just amateurish, but I guess it would be "soo good" for people who are either not familiar with the trope or just dont read a lot of very fleshed out romance books.
Yeah as I was reading it I thought "Wow they are just getting right into this romance and skipping so many steps, someone's impatient". The romance stands on as shaky of a ground as the whole world it happens in lol
The reason the romance didn't work for me is because it had absolutely no progression up until MCs suicide attempt.
Every time seme started having an ounce of character development, he instantly backpedaled again. He showed zero signs of falling for MC throughout the entire story.
He only caught feelings in the very last five minutes, I can totally see the novel doing a way better job at showing the reader the seme falling for MC, but the manhwa did such a bad job there imo, and it kinda ruined the whole story for me because I couldn't take their romance seriously at all
And other aspects of the story haven't really been explored enough to distract you from the lack of romantic development, either
It was OK, but the ending really was what made me go "well that was underwhelming" in the end

Funny how everyone seems to like Dan, saying he's a sweety and his life is so sad yet still wants him to end up with the fucker that is responsible for part of his trauma. There is no form of redeeming that Jk could go through that will ever make him worth Dan's affection but I'm curious as to how this author will "try" to accomplish that.

Idk who Seungho is but Taeju actually went through a self-deprecating period where he even developed a trauma relating to euihyun and wasn't even able to leave him alone without going into a panic. In my opinion, the redemption was handled pretty well in that story, plus, euihyun played a big part as he stood his ground against taeju and wasn't in love with him nor accept him until AFTER he redeemed himself. Dan on the other hand cries about everything and even fell in love with the man who abused him and never showed him a shroud of kindness. He wont need much to grovel at Jks feet, that's what the author is showing through his character right now.

Seungho is from painter of the night and I know the plot of low tide in Twilight and I know how Taeju worked for his redemption (infact I like it). My point was Taeju was 5x more horrible towards the MC and he was still able to redeem himself so jjk is way easier to redeem as a character. Regarding the execution why are you already assuming that Mingwa won't be able to provide justice lol? It's not even been 5 chapters yet. We don't even know how the plot will take the course and it seems like you have already decided that no matter what the redemption gonna be shit because in that case nothing will satisfy you no matter how Mingwa writes.
Yk he's just a jackass and an asshole but to me he's one of the easiest redeemable TOPS correct me if I'm wrong, he never raped MCs but asshole-ish just say leave or take the money kind of thing right? He's like a massive Tsundere with extremely violent tendencies and clearly doesn't acknowledge nor understand emotional queues. Though, I hope he had a wretching backstory like Jiwon at least (referring to the author's old work). He really comes off bad because of his personality (and how he treats other ppl) so we wait for the redeemed character of jjk and see how the comment section differs, I hope it won't disappoint me as well. I'm guessing it'll be him trying to understand Kim Dan a bit more better and becoming a better person (similar to Jiwon). I don't have high hopes though.
I think we should just wait for the redeem arc if that ever happens and see how well Minghwa writes :D and then we can judge for sure if JJK is redeemable which I think is likely redeemable after his only issue is on that ego and pride of his that he neeeddsss to let go off.
Well what he did I would still call it as dubious with the way he behaved with him in the earlier chapters. I have a different opinion on this it would be really interesting if he doesn't have any sad backstory lol. Him later on trying to amend for his actions by trying to become a better person would give more weightage to me. Also here Taeju falls in the same category and that's why I loved his redemption so much more! Mingwa has already said Jaekyung will grovel like he should and I'm just gonna wait and see how it turns out.

While you have a good point calling out my assumption, I cant help but assume cause I've read Bj Alex. People want to act like "that" was redemption when all Alex had to do was say "sowwy, I wuv you ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶" and the bottom immediately accepted him. I can't say from that terrible writing that I have the most hope about how this will go. All I'll say is, there is nothing satisfying about a submissive guy accepting a half-ass apology.
