The story itself is great. The romance is adorable and mature. The plot is intriguing and filled with relatable issues, psychological trauma, and wealthy scumbags. Also doesn't have any useless over-used romantic wealth/class drama. BUT!!! Their first night was so scummy, and the author treats it as fine. They meet cutely, but the FL gets horrible news that someone she is connected to personally, and through her job as a reporter, committed suicide. She was raped by the son of a wealthy family, he got free because he had money, FL writes an article revealing the truth, and the rapist pays people to cyber bully the victim. FL blames herself and feels the victim's suicide is her fault. ML stays with her, despite it being their first meeting, which is sweet, but they end up drinking and sleeping together. FL was grieving, depressed, and filled with guilt. I don't care if she initiated the contact, he should have said no, as she was too mentally impaired at the moment to make responsible decisions. She was even black-out drunk and didn't remember any of it until later! It's like having sex with someone sleeping . . YUCK! Author, that was not a cute one-night-stand.
