I seriously hate this manga for giving me trauma after baji's death and the endless timetravelling of takemichi to save his ex, best friend, and more... IT'S AGGRAVATING!!!
it would've been better if takemichi never went back to the future after accomplishing his mission and remained living in the past. Every time he jumps back to the future, his teenager self took over, and that version of his had no any idea what's going on, that version of him never experience the suffering and growth he had gone through, and so that young version just went with the flow and became arrogant causing the outcome of the future be a failure again...
If he just stayed and worked from inside the timeline, the story might’ve flowed more smoothly and felt more grounded.
I honestly would've gone insane if I see my loved ones die multiple times in every universe, idk how takemichi overcame that type situation he's tuff...
honestly, after finishing the season 1 anime, I hated takemichi for being weak like a dog, he never had a physical development, and he was an outsider to Toman's hierarchy... bcs of those reasons, I started to think before that takemichi did not suit the role of an mc... but i realized something, what made him the main character is because he's the only mature person out of all those kids and that's why he was able to look after mikey, he acted like a big brother to him when mikey lost his bcs of that damn curse.
author be like: "you want character development? too bad, here's more trauma"
would recommend watching/reading the anime/manga if u r up for some rollercoaster ride
