OWEEMJI I didn't realize til I finished and saw it listed on the same author but when it mentioned RUMSPRINGA I was like hol' up— I've read a manga with that name before. Also didn't realize at the end that Theo and Oz made a cameo????

Reread this. It hits way harder a d much differently now that I'm in college that when I first read it in highschool. It's not just some romance manga for me now, it's become much more relatable. I'm not Amish but I'm similarly from a small town. It's not as if it's cut-off from the world but it is small. I don't hate it here, I love and adore it as well as my folks. But similarly with Gene, perhaps it's my age or just me, but there's that want on becoming a "somebody", stupid as it may be. In so many movies it's shown that the character leaves their hometown because they had a bad upbringing, family, some shitty neighbors. Compared to those movies, while there are some annoying people and bad days with the family, it's still very close to my heart. I feel for Gene terribly. All the more since we have the same name lol.
