Started the anime earlier, and man that decision was the best I made today. I don't really read much about action mangas, but this one was good. Not only it focuses on doing the right deed, it also focuses on friendships and changing our perspectives on some matter. I like everyone's character, and the animation was really cool too. My review about this will definitely get longer once I catched up to the recent chapters, for now, I just want to appreciate it:) ------------------ As I read more, my heart goes out for the characters. What Umemiya said really sparks a lot of meaning "fighting is a way of communication". It's crazy cause speaking through fighting can change people and turn them for the better, I like it though. I like Suzuri and Choji's development, I like how things are always reconciled in the end, the past that each character holds, the growth they have as they protect each other.. It's all too nice. This feels like a pathway of acceptance and friendship, I'm very proud of what everyone has become, they all improved through their own ways. I honestly can't name someone in this manga that I'm especially proud of, because I'm proud of them all. I'm proud of Sakura's journey to find the place he belongs to, I'm proud of Umemiya's bravery for going through that painful childhood and still smile at the future so brightly. Everyone in this manga has their own spot light which allows them to shine, not on how they fight, but on how they communicate through fighting. It's like a deeper view of one's heart.

Dandadan

At first I thought this manga is crazy. Sexual violence in the first chapters and suggestive languages? I thought that it's fun but something that's not for me. However when I saw the anime, it made me pick up the manga again. That's where I realized that I really need to lock in and start reading, not looking. The plot is somewhat hard to understand and to explain, but as chapters go on, it seems easier to understand now. In a world of injustice and silent stories, there's spirits who only seeks for peace which they were not granted on their lives. The characters backstories runs deep that fuels who they really are. Personally, Aira and the Acrobatic Spirit and Jiji and the trapped Spirit Story are the best. It made me tear up and just.. Experienced a whole new raw emotion of motherly love and sadness. It's one of the reasons why I had the strong urge to write it immediately down. I also love Okarun and Momo's relationship, they matched each other's freak I'd say. They're a lovely duo that I adore, whenever Okarun goes "All out" he becomes more protective of Momo, in return, Momo acts as his sanity line, like snapping him back if he doesn't have any control to himself etc etc... In short terms, I just love them. OHH THIS WAS MORE THAN PEAK. The crowd can have Kazehaya and any shoujo boys out there, I'm choosing OKARUN!! MAN IS DOWNBAD FOR MOMO AND DOESN'T HESITATE TO SACRIFICE HIMSELF FOR HER. HE ALWAYS FIND HIS WAYS TO EXPLAIN TO HER AND THE LOYALTY?????? AWWW PEAK PEAK!!! THIS IS PEAK!! THIS IS THE ROMANCE I CRAVE. ----- Scratch that, after fully finishing this manga, I am confident to say that I'll forever adore the Backstories. Each character speaks of the harsh reality, but despite that, they've become a group of unique people that helps and looks out for each other. It's a wholesome read, really. :)

Finally caught up... I want to see Elijah again. The whole school tragedy arc got me stressing in distress. It was a time where the author fully portrayed the brutal aftermaths of a tragedy, it was dark yet it also added depth to what Arthur is today. I'm interested to see where this goes, and so for the future arcs. The challenges Arthur has ahead are tough, yet he still makes it through. One day, I hope he can live in peace with the people he loves. :)))))

Haikyuu!!

Complete | furudate haruichi | 2011 released

I'm gonna miss this ----------- ^ Is what I said after finding out the manga is complete. I don't know how to fully describe haikyuu. At first I don't think I should go all in descriptive on what I think of it, but after watching the Dumpster battle, it makes me just want to cry. I can't believe that I used a simple sentence to describe one of my youth. I first discovered Haikyuu through a television channel. At first I would skip it, solely because I was waiting for Yowamushi Pedal, not Haikyuu, but now I don't want to say goodbye to this anime. At first I only watched Haikyuu funny moments or the haikyuu on crack videos and such. Then It turned into the episode sneak peaks and memes. It didn't take a while for me to know that I was fully immersed in Haikyuu at that point. I remember being so excited when I saw the whole series on netflix around 2020 cause that meant I could finally watch every episode in full, and not just the random videos on YouTube. I wish I was with this series ever since it first started. It's cruel to randomly rethink all the times I had fun with this manga. In another life, the rarepair ships and all. Everything seemed to happen in the haikyuu fandom. Maybe growing up means you have to eventually say goodbye to the animes you used to watch when you were younger, and maybe growing up also means that I'll get to understand haikyuu more deeply. In the end of the day, it's not just about volleyball. After an intense match, it's the bond and friendships they formed along the way. As much as how emotional the ending is, it's so freaking goated. No one can top that ending. I'd forever treasure what they have become.

This might be the only manga that I wasn't excited in leaving a review. I don't know what to say at all, I have no words to properly express what I feel towards this manga or how would I even start with all of my thoughts.I wanted to originally watch it, but there were scenes in the manga that weren't shown in the anime so I red it first. Now, I'm not sure if I still want to watch the anime. The complexity of this manga is insane. I, for one love science and bible together. Combined, it makes an amazing and vast topic that is hard to understand yet thrilling. At first I thought it was just mechas fighting mechas, but dangg it runs so much more. The lore is definitely something I love. It runs deeply and it's association to bible figures and such is beautiful work. I've never red something like this, a fusion of angels and being a human- a tribulation of being a human, in fact. Now, starting with Shinji. His whole mentality is valid. His crashouts and etc, they were all valid. A kid piloting an eva and having to undergo such things is sad to see. Plus the adults around him aren't that much of a help. It is only by him that he can heal. It was extremely heavy to see how he handles his emotions and his dialogues. Having to take such huge amount of expectation and responsibility from a young age makes me feel like I was in Shinji's position instead. It was sad, it was too much. For the rest of the characters, they were beautifully executed. Rei and Asuka were also in my favourites. Asuka is strong, she's so strong. She's like peak femininity and fragile at the same time. While Rei is soo alluring. Especially when she fused with Lilith. She was so wonderful during those scenes, It definitely has to be my favorite moment of the overall story, something on the way she rises from the earth as human souls gather to her is beautiful. I don't think I can stop in praising it. Another thing is also Shinji's parents. Yui died because she wanted to protect humanity, for the future generations and for her son. But Gendo didn't liked it. Yui was his light and his first and only love, so when she died, he strived for everything just to take her back. He was jealous of Shinji and was overpowered by his grief and his ideals hat he cannot dare to raise him. In order to become a great man, he had to forgot how to be a father. Now I can never forgive someone like Gendo, but he was a complex and well written character. Very much soo nice. Especially in the scene where he held Shinji as a baby. That scene made me cry, as if something had just touched inside the very depths of my heart.
