Our Companionship
OMG SO CUTE! I LOVE HYUNG! HE'S BEEEEEEEN DADDYYYYYYY OMG Ryun Han was kind of annoying but I really think the twist of him not necessarily being evil or possessive but rather a concerned friend being seen through the lens of a lover was smart. It's important to see how we create these situations and mistakes for ourselves when we don't establish clear boundaries and relationships -we delude ourselves with expectations, fantasies, and compromises.

I'm only giving this a 4 because it didn't HIT how I wanted it to. I wish some of the dialogue was richer, maybe a little more poetic. kay so where shall I begin... Mirae! wow it was really tough seeing the character at first cuz she was soooo clumsyyyyy and her trauma was still fresh. but I appreciated her early efforts to improve. we really only saw it click when she ran back to talk to Kyu and after that, it was a greater transformation. Sooha- WOW I hated her immediately! and it was refreshing to see her antics get called out so soon by Kyu. He was dead saying exactly what I was thinking at the time. Kyu- wow a man who knows what he wants and unmoved but women he doesn't want. He's brave and he asks for help when he needed it. He doesn't run away from trouble even when he's scared. He had pretty great growth. Especially with his mom wowooow that something. While we didn't see much his relationship with his parents seemed nice and cordial at the least. I appreciate that he didn't go from one parent to the other and that it wasn't immediate forgiveness. the feelings felt natural. Anyways! the meat of this manwha is the topic of beauty. The need to be beautiful, the power it can carry and the power that can eclipse. The thing that this manwha made clear is that physical beauty, yes subjective, is not earned but given and developed by others. *relying* on others to validate that beauty can be damaging to one's own self-esteem because we may feel like we can't fully connect as people -only for the consumption of physical beauty. Additionally, I really appreciate how there wasnt a 'society made us this way' or 'women are catty' type of trope. Men. Men were at the forefront of creating this culture. We saw how they enforced it and manipulated it for their own gain. We saw how necessary it was for them to intervene amongst one another in order to make it stop (thinking of Kyu but also s/o to the girls during the festival #BADASSANDHILARIOUS). actually also the girls really showed how protest and resistance are effective, and what it looks like to call out. It was by no means perfect justice but it was a fun revenge. overall, I like it and would recommend to someone looking for a story with depth and romance in today's age. also, justice for Senior Oppa and Eun! they should have been together!! and Senior oppa is a cutie and a charmer! his "you deserve to beloved lline" HIT ALL THE CHAMBERS IN MY HEART

WHAT AN ADORABLE SERIES! I like yuna's character especially her generosity. Its personally how I live my life anyway. However, her perseverance and belief that everything will work out... yea I need some of that. I like how they hinted that these traits of hers were due to her home environment and having parents that wanted her to express herself fully at al times -from the parent perspective, that's really admirable. I cried a few times (didn't expect to at all) because of Minseok's story. It's not about him having a hard life or having to do so much work, but him putting up walls, stopping himself from experiencing unconditional love and joy because he thinks he doesn't deserve it or that he's not allowed. Man those parts really hit home. Omg and when he broke down at the restaurant wow. I think I haven't seen ML be vulnerable and exam their feelings and walls in this way before. I don't think the tough guy often cries and reflects as he did so it was refreshing. While it seemed like yuna had "sooo much to offer" I never felt like their relationship had power imbalances but at the same time I was highly aware that minseok was uncomfortable with what he felt was unequal. The author did a great job creating a couple that are opposites, completing each other and shifting to meet their goals/needs/desires by leaning into their strengths/weakness in that moment. also, minseok looks like is my typeeeeeeeee! but i really couldn't do all the chasing Yuna did s/o to her patience and THAT is how she made her love real
