On or Off
Holy crap holy crap holy crappppp the most heart-throbbingly romantic manhwa is already over and i somehow missed it? Blasphemy. I can't believe it's truly ended. S2 was a bit more conflict ridden than S1 so i was waiting for all chapters to come out because i didnt wanna die from cliffhangers. I had so much fun reading this-- everything from the art, the story, the characters, pacing, EVERYTHING is such a godsend that i can't believe it exists. Yiyoung is one of my favorite characters ever. I just want to be him, man, he's so inspiring. Will miss this couple real bad, but im glad it ended with a happy note!
Ookami-sama no Koiwazurai
TW: animal characteristics This appeased the teenager in me whshzhh the animal characterization doesn't have any impact to the story, and if you ignore the ears and tails it's just a good romance between two guys. Not much going with the plot but still a nice read.
Shucchou Host Nyu Boy
TW: homophobia, bullying IM SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCKKKKK THAT HURT SO MUCH OH MY GOD. I read this because everyone said it was funny but i didn't expect my heart to be absolutely TORN TO SHREDS. WHAT THE FUCK. That scene where they run together in the rain was like. Peak of humanity. I refuse to believe that human can create anything more beautiful than that. I don't know what to feel about the MC's definition of being gay, because that's fucked up, but atst he'd only known the skewed and ugly part of it, so it's understandable. The art is exquisite, and the sex is also VERY graphic lmao that was very unexpected but i didn't mind it that much because their love is so beautiful. It might seem weird if you think it over, because they literally interacted 3 times in the manga before they got together, but i guess when you've always felt empty your whole life, finding someone that can make you feel alive is something really worth holding on.
Sex Sales Driver
What's up with the title?? Seriously, it's very misleading and has nothing to do with the plot. I almost dismissed it as one of those unrealistic smut mangas, but I'm glad i gave it a chance because it was far from that. The MC is endearing (and Relatable), the story is wholesome, the relationship is healthy, the characters' dynamic is great, and more importantly: Haze is smoking HOT. Definitely worth a reread.
Stigmata - Seikon Sousa
TW: murder, blood, infanticide, gore
The Beast That Yearns To Be Tamed
TW: age gap (18yo hs student × 20yo uni student), dubcon because of misunderstanding Aah i love this. The circumstances where they got together were iffy, especially with Junta being the pure-naive highschooler type. It kinda got resolved pretty quickly, they reaffirmed that it was consensual, and later when Junta told his friend about Arata, his friend made sure that Junta wasn't being taken advantage of. Moreover, their relationship is just really sweet. I love when men express and ask for affection openly, and this couple certainly did not hold back in that department. The dirty talk is cringey but easily skippable.
Two Souls
TW: power imbalance, heteronormative couple
Long Time Red Mall
Dropped, caught up with the raws. The start was super good and funny, ngl it's worth the read just for the first 20 chapters or so. But it got super boring and the characters no longer made sense, and it seemed like the author skipped a lot of things that should have been explained.
